Our Story

Project Hashimukh was started in 2015 before the official set up of our organisation. Basically, this project is to help the children who are deprived of their basic rights. Accordingly, every year during Eid-Ul-Fitr, food and clothing items are distributed to bring smile on the faces of those unprivileged children.

Our Seasons

Season-1

In 2015, we were only five volunteers working on the project. We funded a very little amount and somehow managed to provide food and clothing items to almost fifty children.

Season-2

In 2016, ten more volunteers came forward in order to work with us. With the help of our new volunteers, we provided almost hundred children with food and clothing items.

Season-3

In 2017, more volunteers joined taking the total number of our team member to twenty. In that year, it was executed more successfully as we could provide the aforementioned items to almost over one hundred and fifty families and their children.

Season-4

In 2018, we the volunteers simultaneously worked on the project by distributing the items to around two hundred and fifty families.

Hashimukh Season-7

Since 2015, every year during Eid -Ul-Fitr Project Hashimukh starts on a journey of distributing foods and clothes in order to bring a beautiful smile to the faces of those people who do not have the ability to buy new clothes to celebrate this joyous festival. Among all the other previous seasons, this season has been a huge success. Similar to the last season, we distributed foods and new clothes among the unprivileged people, but this time we reached out to the 14 districts of Bangladesh, including Dhaka. Despite the fact that the COVID toll was comparatively higher all over the country, we were successfully able to provide 2000 children with new dresses and around 500 families with food. Though it was a hard situation, our volunteers gave their best effort to make those peoples’ Eid celebration a happy one. We hope that Hashimukh will be expanded to more places in future days and make more and more people smile.

Timeline of Hashimukh

(2015) “Project Hashimukh” – Season (1) One of the joys of Eid is buying new clothes and
wearing new clothes on the day of Eid. But many people in a society cannot enjoy buying or
wearing new clothes on any Eid. Such kind of people is also found in the area where we live.
However, various people in the society buy and distribute sari or lungi to the poor with zakat
money, but do not even think about the deprived children. This is our project to share the joy of
Eid with all these disadvantaged youngsters. Essentially, we want to share the joy of Eid with
each child and put a smile on their face. That is why the name of our project is “Project
Hashimukh”. Initiating this year, Alhamdulillah, we have been able to put a smile on the faces of
about 50 disadvantaged children. We are doing this with a total of 5 people. We buy clothes
according to our funding and then list the age of the children accordingly. Which we distribute in
the morning on the day before Eid i.e. moon night. Seeing the smiles on the faces of these
children after getting new clothes for Eid, all our hardships seem to be fulfilled. Truly this joy is
not to be expressed in words.

(2016) “Project Hashimukh” – Season (2) Inspired from last year, we started working for
disadvantaged children again. Last time we were able to give the gifts to 50 families. So this
time we want to increase the number of gifts a little more. So we got 5 more people willing to
work with 5 people. Jointly, 10 people have withdrawn money till the day before Eid. This time
we have tried to withdraw money personally as well as from all our relatives. With the money,
we raised in the end, this time we were able to arrange clothes for the underprivileged children
of more than 100 families. Alhamdulillah. However, when the list of names has been made, we
have come to realize that our organization is very small. However, we were really happy to see
more than 100 families smile at the end.

(2017) “Project Hashimukh” – Season (3) Inspired from last year, we started working for

(2018) “Project Hashimukh” – Season (4) For the first time, we started working with deprived
children by preparing a volunteer recruitment notice and an event from our predominant
organization. For the time being, we are accumulating donations with a total of 30 volunteers.
Together, we collect donations from individuals, schools, influential people in the area.
Alhamdulillah, this time we have been able to arrange new clothes for Eid for 250+
disadvantaged children. So this term we have provided these gifts to the underprivileged
children of the area as well as we have been able to bestow clothes to several floating needy
children located at Sadarghat. This is the fourth time we have done this, but this is the first time
we have received a good response.

(2019) “Project Hashimukh” – Season (5) The execution of the project was a huge success. Through collecting funds, we could provide almost one thousand families and their children with clothing items. We also distributed two hundred lunch to the families. Our volunteers vigorously worked on it.

(2020) ”Project Hashimukh” – Season(6) Putting a beautiful smile on the lovely faces of the poor and the street dwellers has always been the prime goal behind carrying out projects like Hashimukh. Just as the last seasons, we mainly focus on providing food and new dresses to them with a view to ensuring a happy Eid celebration for them. This time, we provide around 100 children with new clothing items and among 700 families with food items which was at least a 7-day package. Despite the fact that there was pandemic over the country, our indomitable volunteers never thought of backing away from the commitment; rather, we left no stone unturned to keep the promise of making the people smile.

(2021) ”Project Hashimukh” -Season(7) Since 2015, every year during Eid -Ul-Fitr Project Hashimukh starts on a journey of distributing foods and clothes in order to bring a beautiful smile to the faces of those people who do not have the ability to buy new clothes to celebrate this joyous festival.
